Journalism in English for Islamic Boarding School of Karang Asem

Having an ability to make good writings is really important as it helps you convey what\'s in your mind more clearly and effectively. Writing is just another form of communication. People communicate using spoken language, body gesture, and (here it is) written language, providing a clearer understanding and organised thoughts. This, in fact, is what makes language unique.

As language speakers and educated people, we have to, at least, posses enough capability to apply the last form of communication that I mentioned above, i.e. written language. It is not always easy! In order to master it, you must make a lot of practice and read a large number of books (most people love to read the books relating to their interests). I, for instance, would love to read books about journalism. And actually this is what I\'m about to tell you in this short article.

When we talk about how important journalism is, we can directly refer this situation to our needs of knowing what\'s happening either locally or internationally. All people need news. But to make a good news is another thing that we have to learn intensively. It deals with how news people write their stories, how they manage the plots, organized the bodies, and make good titles for the headlines. It requires serious learning.

To meet the need of acquiring news on what\'s going on around here, Karang Asem has really done a good job by writing informative posts on its website. But it is not just a matter of writing. Consider to make new things that this institution has never done before with its website like creating the posts in English. Or perhaps it can start its English version. As we know English is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and if we use it as our website language, then all people around the globe will hear us.

Personally, I do encourage Karang Asem to make the English version of its webpage. It will not only let the world hear us but also help the students of Karang Asem find a new way to learn fun online English, simply by visiting Karang Asem website.
